I am From… I am from all the mornings of eating pancakes and waffles at grandma’s house And morning cartoons such as “Hey Arnold” and Transformers” I am from the mornings of waking up at dads to go fishing with my eye still weighted down by sleep I am from the afternoon naps at dads to the hours on hours of Nintendo 64 games like “Zelda” and “Mario” I am from the Games of Soccer watched by parents cheering on there sons To win the game for them The after game shakes at Dairy Queen I am from the supper of spaghetti at dads to macaroni at moms The after super cartoons of “Dragon Ball Z” and” Yugio” The board games where every one would cheat but know one would care I am from the days of elementary school The time when Yugio and pokemon cards where cool The after school suppers of whatever grandma decided to make The Television shows watched every day after school I am from the game of base ball where all eyes where on you The feel of the crowd staring you down hoping for a home run hit The weekends of Hunting with dad for that on deer or pheasant that got away I am from the summers of going to the Rapids with Grandma and Grandpa Buying and wanting toys from Wall Drug Fighting with cousins over who got to play the Playstation Next I am the summer days of camping with dad The hard ground with the comfy sleeping bags The camp fires and marshmallow roasting contest The perfect smores and scary stories I am from the winter days of Sledding Christmas day when you almost crap your pants you’re so excited Sitting on Santa’s lap so you can get your presents I am from the fall times of Raking leaves into huge piles so you can jump in it I am from the days of rainy spring Running and jumping in puddles till you where soaked to the bone I am from the nights of falling asleep in a warm bed Almost instantly
