MY JOURNEY
My journey happened about five or six years ago in a small town. It was a normal day; every one was working, going to school doing what they had to do. What was about to happen no one ever thought would, but it would change the life of many, not just me. A teenage son was home only to become enraged with so much anger that he picked up a shotgun from the gun rack in the corner of an ordinary house and waited until the time when the father of four children would come to the ordinary house from a hard day’s work only to be shot by this teenage son not knowing what had happened. The teenage son then got in the car the father had just driven home in and drove and drove until he ran out of gas miles from the ordinary house. The teenage son was found in the car sleeping, with tears of sorrow down his face, by a passing police man. The teenage son confessed instantly regretting, what he had done.
The body of the father was then found on the floor of the ordinary house after the teenage son told the police man what had happened. The family of the father was told about his tragic death; every one was devastated. One of the younger sons of the father cried and cried till he could not cry any more; his whole life had changed. The weekends at Dad’s where no longer possible, no more fishing, hunting, camping, or midday naps before getting ready to eat supper. The younger son no longer enjoys any sports without his father there to cheer him on; he became unsociable and unhopeful for what seemed like an eternity.
The younger son is doing better now that he’s able to forget about the horrific day and move on with his life, but the son still will not play any sports, though from time to time he tries to fish or camp when he can, even though it’s nothing like when he went with his father. Five or six years later every one is better but will never forget the pain of that horrible day. The teenage son is now in JDC and will move to a Prison when he is old enough. He was sentence to jail for I believe 35-50 years. Can’t really say that he is doing ok but I can say from talking to him that he regrets what he has done and is sorry for the pain he has cause the family
