Archie Smith was a young lad at the age of 10; he was sleeping in his room when he heard a strange tiny voice whisper, “Is he the one?” He woke suddenly to see nothing, just darkness. Again the next night he hears the whispers, but this time in the corner of his eye he sees two lights about the size of golf balls wisp out the window. For the next week Archie was on edge, still wondering what it was he saw that night.
Archie decided that on Saturday he would take action. He set up a trap to his window, and that way when the time was right, he would pull a string to close the window shut and hopefully catch what it was he saw that night one week ago. Archie lay in bed, eye closed but completely awake. He lay there for what seemed like days until finally he heard the voices again, and he sprang into action and yanked on the string. The window thumped shut, and two small thuds hit the window. Archie whipped out a butterfly net and snagged the two lights in mid air as they made an escape for the door. He then threw them into a jar with air holes on top. The two lights then sighed, and one said, “Well, I guess the gigs up. We’d better tell him.” The other replied, “Ah. Hell I guess we don’t have a choice do we? I am Link one of the four guardians of our Master, Totoru and the one next to me is Zelda, another of the four guardians. We have been sent to keep an eye on you because we believe you may be in great danger.” The Guardians kept talking and talking until they finally found out the boy had fallen asleep half way through their explanation. They decided to make it look like it was just a dream to the boy, and from now on be more careful not to get caught. They kept an eye on the boy for eleven more years till the day he would be able to help them protect their master.
